Life is in motion. There’s movement and flow happening even when I appear to stand still. There is no standing still. There is only the stillness found in the quiet of my mind when silence calls. I travel lightly. Solitude, a lifelong companion as I walk. I go there within that clarity befalls me and truth rises to the top. What is there if not truth? What echo reverberates that I might hear the way, and walk?

The rain returned; a promise made when last it dried. How mysterious the way it cleanses and destroys. The simultaneity of release and closure; things held close to chest and things that have fallen away, swept into the deep floors of life’s ocean. With closed eyes, I watch it fall. I hear gravity pulling its weight downward. How low are we willing to go before we open again our eyes and see? How long will we crawl face to ground, knees raw with gravel before we turn and look?

We crawl back toward life, and eventually, we rise from the place of our fall. This is the contrast of life, the same way the sun appears again awakening us to our senses. The smell of rain lingers. Its potency has dipped asphalt down deep beneath the dirt. There comes a time when illusions can no longer be covered. The holes appear. Maybe we see them, maybe we do not. We fall forward facing truth until we stand and walk in it.

Be ye loosed and set free from the strongholds. Climb high the peak that you might see beyond-beyond and into the endless continuation of this vast experience called life. May I catch your eye as it sees, and may my sight reflect your good.
